German speciality chemicals company Evonik has announced that it will cut 1,000 jobs worldwide in 2026.

Additionally, Evonik is to close its two silica plants in the United States. The company will rely on early retirements, natural attrition, and internal redeployment, adhering to its commitment to avoid compulsory redundancies until 2032.
