Description

The machine manufacturing company Dynapac has announced a layoff of 50 employees at its factory in Karlskrona, Sweden.

The announcement didn't come as a surprise since the company's order intake has been declining, said the local trade union representative from IF Metall to local media. Negotiations will now begin and the notice period is four months. No one will be laid off before then.

Dynapac has about 300 employees at its Karlskrona factory. It was owned by Atlas Copco until 2017, after which Dynapac was bought by the French Fayat Group.

Negotiations with the trade union have begun, and none of the employees will be dismissed before the elapse of the four-month notice period.
