Description
Safran, a French aerospace and defence group, has announced that it plans to create about 2,000 new jobs across France in 2025.
In Toulouse, the Safran Power Units site will expand its production capacity, doubling its industrial surface by 2029, with employment expected to grow from around 700 to approximately 1,000 employees, supported by around 100 new hires per year in production roles Safran Power Units 2025-FR .
Safran Helicopter Engines, a subsidiary specialising in turbine manufacturing, is to hire 400 employees at the sites of Pau, Bayonne, and Buchelay Safran Helicopter Engines 2025-FR. The majority of positions to be filled are in machining and production.
Safran plans to fill around 50 positions in Châteauroux, covering permanent, fixed-term and temporary contracts, including jobs in logistics, manufacturing, assembly and quality control, with recruitment supported by Manpower.
An additional 1,250 workers will be recruited, along with 5,000 internships.
These hiring initiatives are driven by increased customer demand and long-term growth in aerospace and defence activities, rather than workforce reductions, and take place in a context of tight labour markets for industrial and technical profiles. Founded in 1958, Safran operates worldwide in aerospace, defence and security.
The group employs over 99,000 people worldwide, including over 50,000 in France.
