Description
The automotive supplier Aumovio has announced that it will cut up to 905 jobs in Germany by the end of 2026. The affected sites are Frankfurt with up to 220 positions, Ulm with up to 275, Markdorf with up to 130, Lindau with up to 18, and Regensburg with up to 100 positions.
The job cuts are part of a global restructuring programme in which up to 4,000 jobs are to be eliminated Aumovio 2026 - WO. The restructuring is being pushed by rising cost pressures, increasing automation, and the company’s need to shift its investments toward future-focused technologies, including electric vehicles, software development, and advanced driver‑assistance systems.
According to the company, the reductions are to be carried out in a socially responsible manner. A voluntary leave programme is set to begin in March in order to keep the number of compulsory dismissals as low as possible.
Aumovio was created in 2025 through the spin‑off from the Continental Group and employs around 86,000 people worldwide.
