Description

Restaurant chain German Doner Kebab (GDK) is entering the Irish market for the first time and plans to create 150 jobs within its first year of operations. The company, which has been operating for over 30 years and runs restaurants across the UK, northern Europe, the US and the Middle East, opened its first Irish outlet in November 2025 at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in west Dublin, creating 30 new jobs.

As part of its initial expansion phase, German Doner Kebab plans to open six stores across Ireland, generating a total of 150 jobs within the first year. In the longer term, the group aims to expand its footprint to up to 30 restaurants nationwide, with the potential to create around 1,000 jobs by 2035.
