Description

ITA Airways, an Italian air transport company, announced the creation of 500 positions in 2026, including 100 pilots and 400 flight attendants, primarily for operations based at Rome Fiumicino Airport. The announcement forms part of the company’s ongoing development strategy, which includes an expansion of its fleet, an increase in its long‑haul network, and a related strengthening of staff levels. The company has bought 2 new planes in 2026 and 2 more are to be received in 2027. The route expansion will be towards north and south America.

The planned development is linked to the industrial plan for 2026–2030. The new job positions will be offered through permanent or fixed‑term contracts depending on job category, in accordance with the national air transport collective agreement.
