Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Keter, a multinational manufacturer of resin-based garden furniture, has announced an employment redundancy plan (ERE) affecting all 107 workers at its Zaragoza plant, the company's only production site in Spain. The decision involves the cessation of manufacturing operations in the coming months, although the facility will remain active for logistics purposes.
The company formally communicated its intentions to employee representatives, and negotiations are set to begin with a first meeting scheduled for this coming Monday. The proposed closure in Zaragoza represents a significant blow to local employment, and the upcoming negotiations will be crucial in determining the future of the affected workforce.
