Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

As announced on 8 September 2025, the Italian financial institution UniCredit is creating 140 new positions in Germany, along with 60 more in Italy, to further develop its securities business.
The bank is entering into partnerships with BNP Paribas for custody services and with FNZ for a cloud-based platform for post-trade securities processing. UniCredit aims to standardise structures in Italy and Germany and become more operationally efficient.
In Germany, UniCredit operates through its subsidiary, UniCredit Bank. The financial institution employs 10,600 people in Germany and approximately 70,000 worldwide.
