Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Hungarian subsidiary of the Chinese auto parts supplier Zhejiang Huashuo Technology, Halms, is building its new European manufacturing base in Miskolc, which will create 300 new jobs over the next two years.
The plant will produce aluminium castings and manufactured components for auto companies like Volvo and Tesla. The first production hall will start operating in the summer of 2026, according to current plans. The total investment cost is €200 million. The Hungarian government has declared the project a priority investment, which shortens the authorisation process in various ways, including an exemption from the requirement to conduct a townscape assessment.
Halms already has a Hungarian production facility in Debrecen. Once all three phases of the investment project are completed, the total number of employees is expected to reach 1,000 by 2035.
