Description
The German aviation technology expert Lufthansa Technik will build a new factory at the Lusopark industrial estate in Santa Maria da Feira. With an investment of €227.6 million, the project will create 700 jobs and will start operations in 2027. The hiring process and training of the first employees is currently ongoing.
The facility, covering 54,000 m², will be dedicated to the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engines and components. Construction will be carried out by a consortium formed by the Portuguese companies Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções and Ferreira Construção, which have joined forces to meet the complexity of the project.
