BAT Trieste will create 150 new jobs through 2026 with the inauguration of 16 new production lines at its A Better Tomorrow Innovation Hub. President announced the accelerated industrial plan, which advances the original 2021 timeline by two years following successful negotiations with the parent company.
The production lines will manufacture new nicotine-based products containing tobacco or rooibos tea leaves, reaching full capacity by end-2026.
The hiring plan continues through 2026 as part of BAT's broader strategy to establish comprehensive production capabilities in Italy. The Trieste location serves as the innovation hub for the company's new product categories.
