Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

La Barbe de Papa, a French hairdressing network, has been liquidated and taken over by the Provalliance group, resulting in the loss of 91 jobs out of a total of 313 employees. A total of 222 employees will be employed by the Provalliance group.
The company had been facing financial difficulties since early 2024. The group Provalliance already owned 17 brands. This new acquisition will enable the Provalliance group to enter the men's hairdressing market. The group is also aiming to expand its franchise system.
The Provalliance group has over 1,400 salons in France, which are directed by over 600 partners.
