Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Tarkett Polska, a French company operating in the flooring industry, will close its factory in Orzechowo, resulting in the layoff of 211 employees.
The decision comes as a response to a significant decline in demand for wooden flooring; factory will be closed by end 2025 and production will be transferred to Bačka Palanka in Serbia. All employees will be laid-off. In the second factory of the company in Jaśle no lay-offs are planned.
Tarkett is a French company that manufactures flooring and sports surfaces; the company has research and development centers, recycling centers, and production facilities, including two in Poland. The company employs 12,000 people.
