Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Engineering consultancy company, Egis, is to create 100 new jobs over the next twelve months. Most of the new positions will be in the area of engineering.
The planned expansion in staff numbers comes after the company's acquisition of Dublin-based JB Barry & Partners in 2023. The increase in headcount also comes at a time when the company has secured a number of new contracts, including state contracts.
The company currently employs 630 people across 16 sites in Ireland and has already increased its headcount by 80 engineering roles in the past two years.
