Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Greenbrier Poland, a manufacturer of railway carriages, has announced the closure of its plant in Oława, resulting in the dismissal of 161 people. The reason for the closure is the deteriorating market situation in Europe and the falling number of orders for new railway carriages. Production will be consolidated in Świdnica (80 km away). The decision to close the plant was announced without prior consultation with employees. The plant's trade unions and the District Labour Office in Oława have already been informed of the restructuring plans.
Greenbrier Poland is part of the global company The Greenbrier Companies Inc, which specialises in the manufacture and repair of railway carriages.
