Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Irish fashion retailer Primark will open its fourth store in Romania, in Cluj-Napoca (Cluj County) and will create 130 new jobs by 30 September 2025. The opening it is part of Primark's ambitious growth plans in Central and Eastern Europe, where the brand already has stores in Poland, the Czechia, Hungary, Slovenia and Slovakia.
The opening of the new store is two and a half years after the retailer entered Romania with its first two stores in ParkLake Shopping Centre and AFI Cotroceni, both in Bucharest. The third store was opened in August 2024 in Timisoara (Timis County).
Currently, 66% of Primark clothing items are made from recycled materials or more sustainable sources, and by 2030, this percentage will be 100%. The company has over 450 stores globally and continues to expand with the aim of reaching 530 stores by the end of 2026.
