Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Deloitte will hire 1,000 workers at its Rome headquarters by the end of 2026. The consulting firm's Rome office currently employs over 2,800 people and is part of the company's broader Italian expansion that has seen 3,000 new hires planned by May 2026.
The Rome facility, located at Via Vittorio Veneto 89 in a historic building formerly housing IRI and Fintecna, consolidates operations previously spread across four separate locations. The 16,000 square meter headquarters features 750 workstations and 70 high-tech meeting rooms designed for collaborative work.
The recruitment supports Deloitte's strategic initiatives including its Solaria artificial intelligence platform and various institutional partnerships.
Employment opportunities span senior and junior profiles across IT, project management, tax and financial consulting, and STEM fields, with particular focus on AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital transformation specialists. The company also seeks professionals for economic, accounting, administrative, tax, and legal functions.
The expansion includes new facilities and strategic initiatives. The Bari office, inaugurated at Fiera del Levante in June, plans 700 additional hires by 2026Deloitte 2025 - IT.
