Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Liberty Global, a European provider of cable television and broadband, has announced that it plans to cut around 800 employees worldwide.
The redundancies will take place in two rounds and will primarily be offered on a voluntary basis. The measure will affect Liberty Global’s offices in London (the UK), Amsterdam (the Netherlands), and Denver (the United States).
The layoffs are part of a restructuring program aimed at reducing operating costs by hundreds of millions of dollars.
Headquartered in London, Liberty Global operates in several European countries, including the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, and Slovakia. The company directly employs about 1,900 staff worldwide.
