Description

Pernod Ricard, a French spirits manufacturer, is cutting 140 jobs at its Paris headquarters, representing 17% of its local workforce. The company has been facing financial difficulties due to the lower demand in China and in the United States. Through a project nicknamed 'Tomorrow 2', the company is also planning to cut jobs at its subsidiaries. The job cuts are expected to be voluntary, following negotiations. The company expects to save a billion in the following three years.

Additionally, 30 employees could therefore be cut at the cognac company Martell, and he champagne division is under consideration for sale. Indeed, the company is aiming to regroup all its brands within two groups.

Pernod Ricard had a total workforce of 19,550 worldwide and 3000 in France.

Several large restructurings have been recorded in the database, such as in 2019 Pernod Ricard 2019 - FR.
