Description

Horse España, the Spanish division of Horse Powertrain and specialised in automotive power systems, has reached a preliminary two-year collective agreement with workers’ representatives that includes the creation of 200 new permanent jobs across its production facilities and R&D centres and over €70 million in investments. The pre-agreement, which affects 3,500 employees, has temporarily averted a planned strike and is seen as a breakthrough in negotiations over the 2025–2026 collective agreement. Key provisions include safeguarding purchasing power through average annual pay increases of more than 5%, and securing the company’s industrial and innovation future in Spain.

The investment plan covers enhancements at the Valladolid and Seville plants, including new production lines, increased capacity, and the development of cutting-edge technologies such as Horse Virtual Twins (HVT) and AI-based projects. The agreement also introduces a company-wide profit-sharing bonus and limits Saturday work flexibility to a maximum of ten days per year, overseen by a joint committee. CCOO has urged caution and broad participation before final ratification, underscoring the importance of democratic worker endorsement.
