Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

On 15 July 2025, Sabena Engineering, part of the Sabena Aerospace group, officially inaugurated a new state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance hangar at Brussels Airportm and will hire 100 new staff.
The facility, which spans 8,620 square metres, is designed to accommodate wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A330 and Boeing 787. The investment aims to strengthen the company’s position in the European maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) market for both commercial and defence purposes. The hangar is equipped with the latest technologies and is part of a broader strategy to support sustainable aviation and meet growing demand for aircraft maintenance services. The project was supported by the Belgian federal government and Flanders Investment & Trade.
