Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Greek pharmaceutical company ELPEN, operating since 1965, plans to create at least 150 additional jobs by the end of 2025. This employment growth will be driven by the company’s new industrial expansion in Keratea, which has been operational since 2023. ELPEN also plans to invest €310 million over the next five years. These investments are expected to create an additional 1,500 permanent jobs across a wide range of specialities.
Subsidiary companies of ELPEN have been operating in Germany since 2012 and in Dubai since 2024. The company currently employs over 2,000 people across its group.
