Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Areas, a travel food services provider, has announced plans to create more than 1,200 jobs in Europe.
The company is to hire professionals across Spain and Portugal. The recruitment is aimed at reinforcing the company’s presence in key locations such as airports, train stations, and motorway service areas.The majority of the new roles will focus on kitchen, service, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality customer experiences. Regions with the highest number of new positions include the Balearic Islands (230 jobs), Catalonia (215), and the Valencian Community (100), followed by Galicia (50) and Portugal (70).
With 2,000 establishments in Europe and the Americas, Areas employs more than 20,000 people globally.
