Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Ukrainian-owned meat processing company Perutnina Ptuj plans to expand production and create 100 new jobs this year.
The company plans to invest around €120 million in modernising and expanding its meat processing production. This will include automating and robotising processes, reducing energy and water consumption, and improving material efficiency and working conditions. The aim is to increase the added value per employee and total revenue by at least 20%.
The company plans to hire an additional 100 people this year, including 12 highly skilled workers. A further 200 jobs are expected to be created over the next two years.
