Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Kerlink, a specialist in systems and connectivity solutions for networks, is cutting 70 jobs in Thorigné-Fouillard, representing 25% of its total workforce.
The company encountered financial difficulties in 2023 due to the cryptocurrency market crash in 2022. It is therefore investing in the railway industry to diversify its clientele by offering Europorte a geolocation service. This new so-called Track Value system uses sensors to help railway operators track wagons or containers and analyse the vehicle's behaviour. The testing phase has just begun and will continue until autumn, after which the system will be made available for sale.
