Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Linden, a subsidiary of the Germany-based manufacturer of plastic components for the automotive industry, will cease operations at the Hustopeče site by the end of 2025 due to the economic situation. The planned layoffs will affect 169 workers. The German owner's decision to close down operations came like a bolt from the blue.
The company specialises in the production of interior and exterior parts, such as emblems, mouldings, grilles, covers, etc.
Linden is currently part of the Plastic Manufacturing Group, which is a leading company in plastic technology with more than 50 years of experience working for the international automotive industry. Its companies are situated in three locations around Germany and Czechia.
