Description

Up to 300 jobs are to be made redundant at Chinese video-sharing platform TikTok.

The job cuts are part of a global restructuring process by TikTok and are the latest in a series of restructurings over the past year. The global restructuring event has been recorded in the ERM, TikTok 2025 - WO

Almost 3,000 staff are employed at the company's Irish operation and the job losses represent approximately 10% of the Irish workforce.

On 4 March 2025, the Department of Enterprise received a collective redundancy notification in relation to potential redundancies at TikTok. The Government was told that around 300 jobs are at risk.

It has been reported that the redundancies will be from the trust and safety unit which handles content moderation.
