Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Stellantis will recruit 114 young workers at its Atessa facility, Abruzzo, in early April 2025. The candidates, averaging 31 years of age, previously worked at the plant under temporary contracts. The company announced this initiative during a meeting with trade unions at the site.
These employment actions support the "Plan for Italy" presented to the Ministry of Enterprise last December, which focuses on increasing electric and hybrid vehicle production while maintaining workforce levels.
Uilm Abruzzo coordinator, called it "good news amid the automotive sector crisis," despite the plant operating under reduced hours since June 2024.
