Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Auchan Romania, a subsidiary of the French international retail group, will hire 100 persons with disabilities by the end of 2025. The new positions available are open in all Auchan and ATAC stores, the company's head office, including the retailer's newest locations: Auchan Sky Garden supermarket and ATAC Chitila (both in Ilfov County). The available positions are for multipurpose sales operator, customer adviser at the cash registers in the stores, as well as buyer, sourcing specialist, commercial dynamics manager, technical support specialist, IT Business Analyst, etc. at the head office.
Currently, over 140 employees with disabilities are part of the Auchan Romania teams, integrated in almost 40 locations in the main cities of the country.
In Romania, the company has a workforce of 7,012 employees (data at the end of 2023).
