Description
The Czech arms manufacturing company STV Group, which manufactures large-caliber ammunition and repairs military equipment, has announced plans to double its current number of employees and hire about a thousand new workers at the Polička factory in the near future.
STV Group is the only manufacturer of large-caliber ammunition in the Czech Republic.
In connection with the war in Ukraine the STV Group's net profit increased to CZK 5.5 billion last year from CZK 1.5 billion the year before.
STV Group, part of the STV INVEST holding, continues the tradition of manufacturing military equipment and explosives, which began in 1920 with the establishment of the "First Military Ammunition Factory" in the city of Polička.
