Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The German biotech company Corden BioChem is set to hire 100 people by the end of 2025, to restart production at bioethanol Podaru plant (Dolj County).
The company will invest to relaunch of the bioethanol Podari plant, which was closed in December 2023 by its former owner, the Swiss company Clariant, by using the existing infrastructure for bioethanol production.
The company is part of the International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) which is a privately owned industrial group headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany.
Currently, the company has a workforce of 7,150 employees globally. In 2017, its German subsidiary announced layoffs. Corden Biochem - DE
