Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Romanian company Delta Aluminium, which specialises in aluminium profiles and extrusions, architectural products for solar, commercial transportation, electronic appliances, industrial, packaging, greenhouse, building and construction sectors is to hire 400 new persons at its new plant in Bals (Olt County). The new production unit, in which Delta Aluminium will invest €20 million, will be built on the industrial platform of the former plant SMR Bals (Rolling Stock Subassemblies Bals) by renovating some of the halls.
The renovation of the SMR halls will begin in a month's time, the company expects to start recruitment later this year. The discussions between the company and the local administration on opening a production plant at Bals started last year.
By the end of 2023 the company had a workforce of 365 people in Romania.
