Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Framatome, a French multinational specialist in nuclear power plants, is hiring 70 workers in its Montbard factory (Côte-d'Or) in 2025, including 40 net job creations. The rest of the recruitment is to replace turnover. As part of the EPR2 program to promote the nuclear industry, the company is growing their workforce from nearly 300 to 335 employees. The site manufactures steam generator tubes for nuclear reactors. In 2024, Framatome hired 60 workers and took over the 130 employees after the closure of Valti 2024 - FR.
Framatome has a total workforce of 7,500 in France.
Several large restructurings by the company have been recorded in the ERM database, with the latest recruiting 100 workers in Jeumont and Maubeuge Framatome 2025 - FR.
