Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The electrical equipment distributor Electis is placed in receivership. The commercial chamber of the Mulhouse District Court ordered the receivership of Electis, located in Wittenheim (Haut-Rhin), near Mulhouse. The company is now insolvent, to the point of ceasing all operations, which puts an end to its 40 years of activity. This liquidation is also linked to increased market competition and the higher prices of raw materials. In 2023, Electis made a turnover of 48 million euros. This court decision results in the redundancy of 112 employees spread across the six Electis agencies.
