Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Satispay, a digital payment service company, has announced that it will create 400 new positions in Europe in 2025.
The company will increase employment in Italy Satispay 2025-IT and Luxembourg. The recruitment will primarily focus on Milan, with opportunities also available at its newly opened Naples office, where 80 people will initially work, plus some positions in Luxembourg. The company is seeking mainly junior profiles alongside senior roles in technology development, software engineering, cloud expertise, and various business functions, including commercial, finance, legal, compliance, marketing, and human resources.
According to the Head of People & Culture of Satispay, the company attracts over 20,000 applications annually, including from Italian talents looking to return from abroad. New hires receive permanent contracts, comprehensive welfare benefits worth €1,200 in goods and services, and stock options representing 15% of company value, equivalent to €150 million based on recent valuations.
Founded in 2013, Satispay specialises in mobile payment solutions that are independent of traditional credit and debit card networks. Currently, Satispay employs over 700 people in Italy, France, and Luxembourg.
