Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Aquaservice, a leading water distribution company headquartered in Paterna (Valencia), plans to hire over 400 new employees in 2025, representing a 9% growth in its workforce, which is expected to exceed 3,700 staff members.
Recruitment will focus primarily on logistics, sales, customer service, and production. Over the past five years, Aquaservice has created more than 1,500 jobs and now operates 70 branches and seven production centres in both countries. The regions set to see the most significant recruitment this year include Valencia, Catalonia, and Andalusia. The company attributes its growth to a strong people-focused corporate culture and collaborative working environments. In 2023, Aquaservice’s turnover rose by 18.4%, reaching €237 million, bolstered by geographic expansion and staff growth.
The company already experienced two increases of employment in 2023 Aquaservice 2023-ES and 2024Aquaservice 2024-ES
