Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Avon, a company that sells cosmetics, intends to reduce its workforce at its Garwolin plant, from where it will lay off 170 people.
The layoffs are to take place in April and May 2025. The reason is that the owner of the concern has filed for bankruptcy in the United States, as the company has become insolvent. Production, office and some management staff will be made redundant; the local Labour Office has been informed of the layoffs. Avon is a multinational company selling personal care, cosmetics and perfume products, headquartered in New York
