Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Danish company Lantmännen Unibake, a farmer-owned cooperative founded in the Nordics specialised in bakery products, announced its intention to create 150 new jobs in Romania by the end of 2025. In Romania, the company is one of the largest local bakery producers and this year has launched its Natur'A brand in Carrefour stores. The launch is part of the company's €100 million investment in a new production facility at Pantelimon (Ilfov County).
The new bakery is adjacent to the existing hamburger bun bakery, which became operational in early 2024. The new unit can accommodate three production lines and allows it to serve both the local market and other countries in the region.
Headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, Lantmännen Unibake operates more than 30 modern bakeries in Europe, Australia and the US and has sales in more than 60 countries. Lantmännen Unibake has a turnover of €1.2 billion and employs approximately 6,000 people in more than 20 countries.
