Autoeuropa Volksvagen's car manufacturer located in Palmela has announced that its factory will be responsible for the production of a new electric car model (ID.Every1). The launch of this model is part of Volkswagen's investment plan to introduce nine new models by 2027, including four electric vehicles. This new production will not only maintain the current 4,500 jobs, but also create 1,000 additional jobs in its factory.
Autoeuropa currently has a turnover of around €3.8 billion and 4,842 employees. Volkswagen Autoeuropa produced 236,100 units last year, accounted for 4% of national exports and represented 1.3% of GDP in 2023.
