Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Safran Aerosystems, a subsidiary of the French multinational aerospace manufacturer Safran, is set to hire 50 new workers at its Cognac site. This recruitment drive aligns with the expansion of the site, which includes an additional 12,000 m² of production space as part of a €15 million investment. The company aims to boost its growth by 25% by 2028 while also improving working conditions for its employees.
The European Restructuring Monitor (ERM) has recorded several restructuring initiatives by Safran, with the latest expansion hiring 300 employees in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques Safran Helicopter Engines 2023 - FR .
