Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The Cité Marine Group, specialising in food production, aims to create 200 new jobs by 2027 in Plumelin, Brittany.
Currently, the factory employs 135 workers and has increased the number of permanent contracts from 80 to 108. 45 new hires are planned by 2026. The Cité Marine Group has invested €30 million (€ 21 million self-financed by Cité Marine) in its Keranna Productions factory, acquired in 2022,
A new production line is also set to be established in 2025, enhancing the factory’s operational capacity and expanding its product offerings to meet the growing market demand and trends. The factory will go from 3 to 6 production lines by 2027. Plumelin will become the group's most automated site.
