Description

The Renault ElectriCity plant is announcing a new recruitment campaign. 750 operators are to be recruited between now and the end of June. The increase in the workforce is needed due to the preparation for the production of new models: the Mégane E-Tech (launched 2 years ago), the Scénic E-Tech (which is just starting) and the launching of R5 E-Tech, which its planned for this summer.

The vacancies are distributed in 500 fixed-term contracts and 250 temporary contracts (in the automotive industry, such contract are concluded for periods longer than 9 months). The company hopes to hire at least 30% of female employees.

All the new vacancies are concentrated at the Douai plant, where the Renault Group concentrates the production of the high end technology production for electric vehicles in the Renault EletriCity branch.

Recently, Renault have already promoted significant expansions: in 2023, with 105 jobs created (Renault 2023a - FR) and later in that same year, 150 jobs were created (Renault 2023b - FR).

Update 23 July 2025 The French car manufacturer company Renault plans to hire 400 new temporary employees to boost electric vehicle production at its ElectriCity hub in the north of France. As part of this expansion, the company plans to introduce half-shift night shift in October or November 2025, to supplement the activity of the 2,400 workforce at the site. Production rates began to increase in July 2025, rising from 53 to 54 vehicles per hour. Renault's goal is to transform its site into a paragon of electric vehicle manufacturing
